The following guides will help you get started in locating the statistics you need:

--sources of statistics arranged geographically (to find statistics for towns, cities, counties, states/provinces, countries, regions of the World, the entire World, etc.)

--sources of statistics arranged by broad subject area (to find statistics related to the economy/finance, natural resources, population/demography, social indicators, etc. and historical statistics in many of these areas)
