![]() Iowa College Second Building (Davenport) Constructed: 1855 Architect: W. L. Carroll Cost: $22,000. Initial Functions: Chapel, classroom, library for literary societies, recitation room, bedrooms for students. In 1858 the Borad of Trustees voted to move the college west to Grinnell.
