History of College Buildings/Darby Gym

Constructed: 1942, razed 2004.

Architect: Proudfood, Rawson, Brooks & Borg, Des Moines

Cost: $125,000. Major renovations 1976-77, 1980.

Initial Functions: men’s gymnasium and all-college auditorium facility. Subsequently serves as gymnasium for basketball and volleyball and houses the Noyce Computer Center and student radio station.
