Carnegie Hall

Constructed: 1904, renovated 1959, 1970, 1980, 1990, 1993-94.

Architect: H. D. Rawson (1905) of Hallet & Rawson, Des Moines

Cost: $50,000 excluding stacks and moveable furnishings. Funded by a $50,000 grant from Andrew Carnegie.

Initial Functions: Main library to replace Goodnow Hall. Later served to house faculty offices, seminar rooms, mail service, bookstore and service bureau.
