Clara M. Baster
Books of the Middle Ages.
Biographical Note
Clara M. Baster (class of 1924) and Anita A. Lucke (class
of 1925) were the authors of this manuscript. Baster
was from Benton Harbor, Michigan. She majored in English
and History while a student at the college, lived in Quad,
and was active in Honor G and Y.W.C.A. According to
the 1924 Cyclone (p. 46), she was a good sport,
jolly companion on picnics, and had a keen
sense of humor. No information is available on
Lucke.

Scope and Content Notes:
Books of the Middle Ages is a 20-leaved, typewritten manuscript.
The leaves have simple borders, one set inside the other by
one inch. Between the two borders are hand-drawn decorations
of plant and animal life that are subtly water colored.
The manuscript is bound in a heavy-weight paper and is tied
along the spine with a ribbon.
